Dear Potential Sponsor:
RE: PARKER RACING
LLC
I
am a 15-year old Freshman at Staples High School in Westport,
CT, and I am hoping to find support to fulfill my dream of
becoming a world champion in open-wheel racing. My
passion for racing grows every day, and I want to do everything
possible to keep my dream moving forward. What follows
is how my potential racing career came about.
My parents love
to tell people that my pursuit of racing "comes
from nowhere" and they are not entirely wrong. Everywhere
I go in the racing world, my competitors have been influenced
by a father, an uncle.....even a mother.....except for me. But,
if I could pinpoint the day I fell in love with racing, it
was when I discovered the Speed Channel. I learned about
how karting was the beginning of many race car drivers' careers,
so I wanted a kart, but it took me years to convince my parents
to get me one. By age 12, I got my first, used go-kart
for Christmas, joined a local karting association and discovered
I was really good. I rose to the top, while working on
and teching my own go-kart at each race, so I learned every
aspect of what affects each race in terms of tire pressure,
weather, wheel base, etc. I was hooked on racing right
from the start.
At age 14, I attended two racing courses with Skip
Barber at Lime Rock, CT and, again, I discovered I was very
fast. Most
of my courses were in the rain, but it didn't bother me at
all.....I was nearly just as fast which I knew was unusual. That
fall I entered their Regional Championship Race Weekend and
won both races ; they were my first two car races ever. The
first race was in the pouring rain; I not only won that race,
but I nearly lapped all the other racers. The second
race I won as well. I was never nervous that weekend;
I loved every minute of it, and it felt like I was doing exactly
what I should be doing.
A few weeks later, I attended a racing
camp called Speedsecrets in California. This is a very
serious camp that teaches and assesses your racing skills and
telemetry. Even though
the five other kids were older and had far more experience
than I had, it turned out that I was the fastest kid there
and one of the fastest drivers of any age that had ever attended
their camp. They felt I had natural born talent to race
and my telemetry was considered exceptional. They introduced
me to Paladin Motorsports, a new team running in the Formula
TR Pro Race Series held on the West Coast. I joined their
team in March to race in a Formula Tr-1600 race car. I
have won 7 out of the 8 races so far (one second place), and
the crew keeps telling me how much they appreciate my precise
feedback. Between my input on the car, Paladin's superior
crew and my speed, I consistently drive faster than anyone
else.
My goal, since I was ten
years old, has been to become a Formula One race car driver;
I have never waivered from that and every professional I have
worked with has told me I may just have what it takes. I
am completely dedicated to racing and I love winning more than
anything. I do race specific
endurance workouts from Pit Fit every day to build up my strength
for now and the future. My short term goal is a seat
with a Formula BMW team; I already have strong interest from
a number of teams, and my long term goal is to race with a
Formula One team within the next five years, but, I need sponsors
to support my rise to the top. I would love the opportunity
to speak with anyone who would be interested in investing in
my pursuit of becoming a world champion. I want to make
this happen more than anyone can imagine. I know I have
the personal integrity and strength of character in addition
to the mental toughness it takes and the strong desire to win
that would well represent any sponsor who helps me make this
dream come true. Please contact me with any interest
you may have in my sponsorship as soon as possible. Thank
you very much.
Sincerely,
Parker L. Kligerman
